With over a decade of camp directing experience under his belt, including five summers directing one of Quebec’s largest camps, Avi brings lots of youthful energy, enthusiasm and a love of children to the role. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Education from McGill University, Avi spends the off-season as the popular Assistant Principal of Montreal’s Bialik High School. Avi’s philosophy of caring for campers with compassion and teaching them values has made him an excellent addition to our leadership team. Avi is joined at camp by his wife Sheri and their children.

Emerson is the Athletic Director at Montreal’s Bialik High School, a former all-Canadian basketball star at Concordia University and captain of his team in the Swiss pro league. He had served almost two decades as our Head Counsellor before moving up to Assistant Director. Emerson's warm personality, strong leadership skills and terrific sports background have made him a huge asset to Pripstein's. Em and wife Stephanie are proud parents of daughter Elisha.

He still makes the rounds of the cabins at night to say good-night to “his” 200 kids... and of course Ronnie B. still plays a rockin’ electric bass guitar in the band at our legendary Friday night sing-songs!

Come summertime, he works on-site as part of the dedicated Head Staff team that help Avi & Em run the day-to-day operations of Pripstein's.
